Alpine Auto Tours

Where: France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany

How Long: 3 to 7 days

The idea for Alpine Auto Tours originated in 2011 after founder Alan Dalsass completed a ten-day Alpine tour in his M3 across the Swiss, Italian and Austrian Alps and onto the Nurburgring. On his flight home he had one thought: “I have to share this.” Since then Alan has been spreading the word, one enthusiastic driver at a time.

Driving the Alps on a sunny, clear day is a slice of heaven. Driving the Alps on a cloudy, foggy or rainy day is, well … not.

We also know that there is no way to predict the weather when you make your plans 4-6 months in advance. Recognizing this (and leveraging our knowledge of the Alps) AAT has developed a program where, with a bit of flexibility, we design a tour in real-time to go wherever we can find the best driving weather.

Because Zurich is virtually surrounded by fantastic roads, we can use our knowledge of the region to go East, West, South or North to find the best experience for you.

Over the years, AAT has developed routes that offer a great combination of driving excitement and scenic beauty by day, and fine dining and relaxation by night. In most cases, tours consist of morning and afternoon driving “sessions” that are between 2-4 hours each, with a break for lunch along the way.

Evenings are spent in spectacular Alpine ski resorts where group or individual dinners can be arranged and where shopping and spa treatments are, of course, also available.

AAT itineraries are entirely customizable based on group preferences and desires. On the other hand, we are always available to provide insight and guidance based on our experience. Either way, we are happy to work with you to come up with the perfect trip.

Tours run from late May through mid-October. Other than that, we will work around your schedule.

Groups of 3 to 7 cars, (6 to 14 drivers) tend to work the best, but lager or smaller groups can also be done.

Tours range from 3 to 7 days. From our centrally located Zurich base you can head West to France, South into Italy and Switzerland, East into Austria, North into Germany — or a your own combination. We will work with you to figure out the perfect route.
