Travelling to Iceland is like being transported to a parallel world where every waking moment is filled with adventure.

We have a week-long adventure that starts with our first location hotel, the ION Hotel set against a backdrop of majestic mountainous lava fields. This is a special destination in its own right. Built into the side of a mountain, half of the property stands on what look like elaborate stilts. Tucked underneath the hotel is a thermal pool where guests can relax and warm up while hoping to spot the Northern Lights. Icelandic langoustine, locally caught arctic char and skyr (homemade yoghurt) are all served up at the restaurant. A perfect destination to ready yourself for the three-day adventure that starts tomorrow.

We will spend one night in a mountain lodge and one in a highland guesthouse.

This is a three-day Landmannalaugar tour; a journey of unforeseen adventures and constant challenges, taking on the unpredictable highlands and facing new experiences. Everything that happens is part of the journey. It is all about embracing the moment. Nothing beats the beauty of starlit skies perfected by the dance of the Northern Lights.

We are a driving Club, so there’s plenty of action driving the superjeeps and snow-mobiles.

After three days away, we return to the ION hotel for a couple of nights. During this second stay, we will do a tour of the volcanic caves and a Quad bike tour. The cave tour is something to behold. Extraordinary scenery of lava formations and unexpected colours, natural stalactites and different rock formations make this an experience of majestic and almost indescribable beauty. Eight hours of discovery. And each night you will return to the hotel for a soak in the thermal pool and local drink or two!

We have a special treat where we will catch a glimpse of an all-new Icelandic vehicle. A bespoke vehicle that can tackle any environment.

After our tour of Ísar, we will have a guided visit of the Reykjanes Peninsula (lake Kleifarvatn, Krýsuvík geothermal zone, bird cliffs of Reykjanestá, bridge across the continents and Gunnuhver hot spring). We end at the Blue Lagoon for bathing, dinner and overnight stay.
