Jaguar set for Formula E demo run in London

It has been reported by Motorsport.com today that Jaguar are set to complete a demo run prior to the London double header finale at Battersea Park.

The new entrants for Season Three will be given its own pit garage as it prepares for a private July test ahead of the mandatory pre-season tests at Donington Park the following month. It has also been rumoured that further shakedowns at Kemble Airfield, Gloucestershire could also be on the cards.

A British driver is expected to be announced in Battersea, as well as a current Formula E front runner. At the moment, rumours are circulating that former Formula One driver Anthony Davidson is a contender after commenting he would not turn down a seat in the Jaguar. Other contenders for the drive include DS Virgin racing driver Sam Bird, former Team Aguri drivers Antonio Felix da Costa and Adam Carroll as well as current Williams' development driver Alex Lynn.

Jaguar announced they would be joining Formula E for Season Three in December last year, with a strong technical partnership with the sport's sole battery supplier Williams Advanced Engineering (WAE).

WAE's presence at races and access to other teams' information has since been limited.
