Lewis Hamilton claims an unchallenged Pole Position for the Brazilian GP

At the Brazilian GP qualifying Lewis Hamilton claimed Pole Position for the Brazilian GP ahead of Nico Rosberg and Kimi Raikkonen in a session that saw Hamilton just dominating throughout; even though Rosberg tried his best to catch his rival.

During Q1, most of the drivers went out to try and get a banker lap in before the threat of the rain hit the Interlagos circuit. It was Lewis Hamilton early on in Q1 who topped the timesheets first ahead of his team mate Nico Rosberg. With drops of rain starting at the back of the circuit with just ten minutes of Q1 left, many will be wondering if it will affect the rest of the session.

During the session, Esteban Ocon and Jolyon Palmer had a coming together at Turn 4; with each driver accusing each other of impediment. This incident is now being investigated by the stewards.

But at the end of Q1, Hamilton topped the timesheets ahead of his team mate Nico Rosberg, Max Verstappen, Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel. At the end of the session we lose Jenson Button, Kevin Magnussen, Pascal Wehrlein, Esteban Ocon, Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson.

As we headed into Q2, Hamilton looks to be in the better position that Rosberg at the moment; even though Rosberg is very close to the British driver. As Q2 continued, Hamilton was yet again the first to set a quick ahead of his team mate again; with the Red Bull of Verstappen also looking very strong indeed.

As we headed into the latter stages of Q2, it was once again Hamilton who goes into Q3 at the top of the timesheets ahead of Rosberg, Verstappen, Vettel and Ricciardo. At the end of the session we lose Sergio Perez, Jolyon Palmer, Sainz Jr and Kvyat.

As we headed into Q3, it was Hamilton yet again who topped the timesheets first ahead of his team mate.
