This morning in Silverstone, Lewis Hamilton for the first time this weekend was at the top of the timesheets in FP3 ahead of his team mate Nico Rosberg and Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen.
During the session, we saw problems hitting Nico Rosberg with a suspected oil leak in his car. In the final ten minutes before the session ended; he was able to get back onto the track and get a few laps onto the board.
But it was Lewis Hamilton who topped the timesheets with a laptime of 1.32.917 ahead of Nico Rosberg who finished in second place 0.582 seconds behind him but was ahead of Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen in third place who was 0.775 seconds behind the Mercedes of Hamilton.
Sebastian Vettel finished the session in fourth place ahead of Max Verstappen in fifth place and Carlos Sainz Jr and Felipe Massa who finished in sixth and seventh places. Valtteri Bottas ended the session in eighth place ahead of Daniil Kvyat in ninth place and Pastor Maldonado who rounded off the top ten finishers.
Nico Hulkenberg ended the session in eleventh place ahead of Daniel Ricciardo in twelfth place, Sergio Perez in thirteenth place, Romain Grosjean in fourteenth place and Felipe Nasr in fifteenth place.
As we head into the latter stages of the grid, Jenson Button finished the session in sixteenth place, Marcus Ericsson finished in seventeenth place ahead of Fernando Alonso in eighteenth place and ahead of the two Manor F1 drivers of Will Stevens and Roberto Merhi who finished the session in nineteenth and twentieth places.
