Nico Rosberg tops the timesheet in a disrupted FP3 session in Canada

This afternoon in wet-weather session in Montreal, Nico Rosberg topped the timesheets ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean in a disrupted FP3 session.

During the session, we saw Felipe Nasr crashing into the barriers on the back straight after trying to warm up his tyres ready for a hot lap and lost the car. Luckily he was okay and the red flag was brought out in order to clear the Sauber from the track.

We also saw Jenson Button stopping on the track at Turn 7 which yet again brought out the red flag as the marshals needed to clear the McLaren-Honda from the track. After qualifying, McLaren-Honda announced that Button needs an engine change and will not be ready in time for qualifying which is a shame.

But it was Nico Rosberg who topped the timesheets with a laptime of 1.15.660 ahead of Kimi Raikkonen who finished in second place 0.573 seconds behind him but was ahead of Lotus driver Romain Grosjean in third place who was 1.112 seconds behind the Mercedes of Rosberg.

Valtteri Bottas finished the session in fourth place ahead of Sergio Perez in fifth place, Daniil Kvyat in sixth place and Felipe Massa in seventh place. Sebastian Vettel was eighth ahead of Carlos Sainz Jr in ninth place and Pastor Maldonado who rounded off the top ten finishers.

Marcus Ericsson ended the session in eleventh place ahead of Nico Hulkenberg in twelfth place, Daniel Ricciardo in thirteenth place, Felipe Nasr in fourteenth place and Jenson Button in fifteenth place.

As we head into the latter stages of the grid, Max Verstappen finished the session in sixteenth place ahead of Will Stevens in seventeenth place, Fernando Alonso in eighteenth place and ahead of of Roberto Merhi and Lewis Hamilton who ended the session in nineteenth and twentieth place.
