Sebastian Buemi leads the final day of pre-season testing

At the final day of the Formula E season at Donington Park, Formula E Champion
Sebastien Buemi has ended the day fastest, but the Swiss driver's competition are much closer to him compared to season two.

Buemi finished the afternoon session two-tenths clear of his teammate in the afternoon session, but the chasing pack of Techeetah, Ds Virgin Racing and Dragon Racing were only a tenth behind Nicolas Prost who ended the session second fastest.

Buemi ended the day with the Formula E lap record around Donington Park, which he set in the morning session, which was a 1:28:910.

The afternoon session started with a heap of activity as this was the final chance the teams had to test their cars before we fly away to Hong Kong in three weeks time.

Stephane Sarrazin led the early part of the session in his Venturi, as teams were focusing on their long run pace rather than any qualifying simulations. Robin Frijns had failed to set a lap in the first hour of the afternoon session, but his car was suffering from software glitches which were stopping him from leaving the pit lane.

There was little movement in time throughout the middle of the session, as drivers were focusing on race runs, but Vergne, Ma Qing Hua and Jose Maria Lopez were all given 30-minute garage penalties for knocking over the bollard at turn 10.

The times started to drop in the final half an hour of the session. Nicolas Prost jumped to the top of the timing screens with 20 minutes remaining.

The top four in the session were covered by 0.091 of second as the session entered the final 15 minutes. However, running was halted as Lucas Di Grassi went off at Coppice corner.

The drivers had six minutes to improve their times once the session went green again. Buemi managed to improve his time by two-tenths to set a 1:29:002 to go fastest, but no other driver was able to improve their lap times significantly, which meant that Buemi ends pre-season fastest and looking like the favourite to beat at the Hong Kong ePrix in a month's time.
