Renault e.dams driver Sabastien Buemi remains fastest in the second practice session of the inaugural Mexico ePrix ahead of qualifying.
The Frenchman was quickest on a 1:03.341 ahead of the ABT pairing of Daniel Abt and Lucas Di Grassi. Abt found himself topping the session for a long time during the session after setting blistering second and third sector times, which most drivers found difficulty in beating until Buemi pipped him with just a few minutes to go.
In fourth place was Renault e.dams driver Nicholas Prost who was half a second off his team mate's lap time. Mike Conway put in an impressive lap to end the session fifth quickest. Oliver Turvey, Jerome D'Ambrosio, Stephane Sarrazin, Jean-Eric Vergne, and Nelson Piquet Jr rounded out the top ten finishers of the session.
Home favourite Salvador Duran brought out a red flag around 10 minutes into the session after stopping on track. This was just before Mahindra's Bruno Senna spun and made slight contact with the wall.
British driver and Argentine E-Prix victor Sam Bird also had a spin at the first chicane after the session got underway again. The two Team Aguri cars set just 10 laps between them, ending the session in seventeenth and eighteenth places.
The two Mahindra and Andretti drivers found themselves outside the top 10 and must improve if they want points tonight.
