Almost 12,500 visitors on the first day
Rowland Riveron and Matt Neal entertain the crowds
The second day of the Motorhome & Caravan Show was a roaring success as three-time British Touring Car Champion Matt Neal and Radio 2 comedian Rowland Riveron delighted attendees.
The first two days of the show saw exceptionally high levels of business being done, with several exhibitors reporting double-figure sales of brand new caravans and motorhomes on both days. Almost 12,500 people visited the show on Tuesday, with a total of up to 100,000 expected over the remaining days until Sunday (19th October).
Signing autographs and sharing tales of his first caravan stay in Porthmadog, Matt Neal appeared on stand with Bailey. Posing next to a replica BTCC Yuasa team car with matching Bailey Pursuit 550-4 in full team colours, he chatted with visitors about his love of motorhoming and track racing.
Rowland, loved for his musical talents and comedy, entertained the crowd at the experts' theatre where he recalled some amusing 'difficulties' travelling through ports in northern Spain and France. Roland and his wife Monica, who is the author of 'The Caravan Cookbook', have enjoyed caravanning for many years, travelling across the UK and Europe.
More than 400 exhibitors, including all the major UK and European manufacturers, are at the show, which runs till Sunday 19th October.
Along with all the latest motorhome and caravan innovations, there are several product demonstrations on stands across the show. From cooking up affordable feasts in the expert's theatre, to wine tasting and soup making, there is something for everyone.
Well known for her love of the outdoors, The Camping and Caravanning Club President, Julia Bradbury, will also be at the Show on 'Friendly Friday' – Friday 17th October, (stand 8.10).
On-the-door tickets cost £9 for Seniors (60 years +) and £10 for Adults, with children 15 years and under admitted free. All tickets include parking and a Show Guide (subject to availability).
